What are the exercises to get abs, stronger arm muscles at age 14 when your 5’4?

Kevin asked:

I need advice on witch exercises to do. I’ve try ed 75 push night only but i don’ think that’s enough. I don’t want to stunt my growth or anything but i want abs and strong arm muscles. I got exercises machines and objects too like The bicycle , Rubber band arm fitness where you step your both feet on and pull up on each hand. What exercises should i do daily to get abs and stronger arm muscles with out stunting my growth?

  1. The safest methods that have been proven tried and true are good old fashioned sit-ups, crunches, pull-ups, and push-ups, but before beginning any exercise regiment, regardless of your age, give your doctor a ring

  2. Trust me working out wont stunt you, for your arms do regular curls reverse curls and hammer curls for abs lay on your back with your feet in the air then move your torso up

  3. Go to, that is the best workout site EVER. They have hundreds of workouts for people of all ages that want to target specifics muscles and they explain how to do them with instructions and video samples.

  4. Personally I would go to the High School or a local community center to use the weight room. As a youth you can probably get a good discounted rate. Arnolds with dumbells are good. Benching. Curls. Reverse Curls. Remember to stretch and cool down. Never work on the same muscle group two days in a row and put rest days into your schedule. If you work out too much over an hour it becomes ineffective.

  5. Well Im with you on that one. I started lifting when i was about your age and i havent grown since then. So i think you sould take it easy on the weights. If you feel inclided to do so dont lift very hevay weight but do a lot of repititions. Its gonna be a slow way to get stronger, im not gonna sit here an lie to you but it will work. Also try pull ups and increase your push up count by 5 or so every 2 weeks. I used to end up doing about 450 push ups a day and my bench max increased by 70lbs in 3 months.
