Trying to lose a beer belly and slight love handles, what foods are my best bet to not gain more pounds while I am trying to lose them? Do I really have to stay away from beer completely?

  1. Lose the beer.

  2. It would probably help to cut down on it. I like to drink too, but if you drink a lot and eat a lot you will gain weight. I am lucky that I don’t like sweets. I just love raw veggies, and I prefer them dipped in real dressing on the side, it’s more satisfying. Fruit, lean protein like chicken or turkey or fish is good. I am big on salads, love to throw all kind of vegetables in with some cold chicken or turkey and a little bit of carbs, some croutons or a slice of whole wheat bread torn up to substitute for it. If you want to drink and keep your weight down, you need to sacrifice your love for really fattening stuff, like pizza, burger and fries, sweets.

No Beer, lots of green veggies, high proteins, stay away from potatoes, butter & sour cream.
A little exercise wouldn’t hurt, start slowly, walk around the block, then 2 blocks and so forth.
You might want to cut your calories down to about 1800 calories per day. I know that sounds harsh, but it happens to everyone. Just tuff it out, like the rest of us.

  4. Try a low carb beer…. In Australia there is one called “Pure Blonde” and it’s a beauty.

You need to eat more regularly. 6 – 8 meals a day. Make 4 of those boring salads… that will boost your metabolism. In fact you will feel hungry at meal times.

Have no more than 100g of carbohydrates at any one meal. (the amount over this will just get stored as fat for later)

Eat fresh fruit and vegetables and fresh grilled meat.. skinless chicken ~ whatever.. but choose lean meats.

Watch your portion sizes. Anything portion of meat bigger than your palm is too big to eat.

    Take a vitamin B supplement.
