Im obese, weight loss help please?

I was just wondering how many calories an average person needs a day. i weigh 360 lbs. How many times a week should i go jogging (its really more of power-walking) to lose weight fast?

Im starting an all-natural diet, consisting of only pure vegetables, and fruits, and beans, and whole-grain bread. Im also going to be drinking green tea in place of soft drinks.

Any other tips to lose weight fast?

How fast will i lose weight if i work out and diet like this?

  1. Bad idea on that diet, really bad idea. You need to keep your body energised and that isn’t done through fruit and vegies. Whole-grain bread is still bad for you.

    And you keep saying to lose weight fast. You put it on over a long period of time you won’t drop it fast. Each person is different so nobody else can tell you how long it will take you. And as for the exercise part no less than 3 times a week should you exercise. At first it may seem difficult but after a few weeks it becomes a habbit.

  2. you won’t really lose that much…dont eat bread no matter if its whole-wheat, talk to your doctor or nutritionist…

  3. Try to stay off bread unless it’s brown bread which you have baked yourself so you know it doesn’t contain anything like sugar.

    To lose weight walking regularly say twice a day for 30 minutes just walking fast so you have an elevated heart rate and you will begin to lose fat.

    I’m currently on a diet myself and have tried so many to lose just a little weight but nothing seemed to really work. Then my friend suggested a way of eating/exercise and it works perfectly.
    you eat 4 times a day, portion size is up to you but when you eat you don’t mix your food groups too much. Its not very fun but plain food helps a lot. Eat salads but don’t add croutons/sauce to it try to keep them fresh and plain, white meats are very good and boiled/scrambled eggs as form of protein.

    I used to go to the gym 3 times a week for around 4 years (haven’t the last year because of a lot of exams) and I always ate within my calorie limit, sometimes just around 1800 even on gym days so i should have lost weight but I didn’t. Now when i do brisk walking, not so im out of breath just so my heart rate is elevated i lose more weight which I found out was based on that when you do intense exercise your body burns carbohydrates which is why a lot of athletes eat pasta etc but when you’re just elevating your heart rate your body burns fat which makes you lose weight a lot faster.

  4. Most people fail with diets because they set their goals to high. I always set may goal at one pound per week. My diet was eat less an avoid high calorie foods, and one day a week I allowed myself one portion of a fattening food (ice cream, cake, soda). It took a year to lose 50 pound, but my eating habits changed and it stayed off. To me this diet is simple and easy and the best way to lose weight, I did not exercise, but my job took care of that.
