Safe weight loss aid w/ exercise and diet plan?

jwiseman1 asked:

I am about 5′ 10″ 168 lbs, male, age 19. I realize that this isn’t excessively overweight by typical standards but I’m trying to take some steps towards getting into shape by shedding some body fat and building some more muscle.

For the past month or two I’ve been exercising on an average of 2-4 times per week for about 30 minutes total each day and am trying to restrict my caloric intake to less than 1700 per day. I am seeing some results but I’d like to take it a step further if possible.

Are there any safe, all-natural if possible, supplements or drugs I can take that can assist me in either burning calories, building lean muscle, and/or reducing my appetite (I have a pretty big one at times)? I’m well aware of the negative effects that commercial weight loss pills can have, but I don’t want something that will do it all more me, just an AID coupled with my diet and exercise. Are there any changes I should make in my current diet/exercise plan to increase effectiveness? Any help at all is appreciated. Thanks in advance!
My current exercise “plan” usually consists of me biking 3-5 miles up- and down-hill, followed by push ups, crunches, and pull ups. I just started with the latter exercises so it will take some time to build up some strength before I can consider it legitimate weight exercises.

huijiemall asked:

I have discovered some unique remedy for weight loss. It is not pills, and it is all natural products. No need to work out or on special diet. The drink tastes like green tea with aroma flavor. I tried on myself, and I lost 5 pound in one week. I am thinking of opening a weight loss clinic to help other people too, but I do not know how much I should charge for. Is $500 per month too much?Do you think people is willing to pay this much for my service ?

Please tell me if you have used Apple Cider Vinegar tablets for weight loss and your opinion. Thanks?

Rocket asked:

Quite by accident I ran across an article about Apple Cider Vinegar being used for weight loss. Because it’s a natural supplement I wanted to know from people who have used the tablets. Did it help or not. I’m not expecting a miracle but if it would help my dieting efforts, I’d be willing to give it a try. Thanks ahead for any help you can give me…… Rocket

How To Get A Six Pack Fast – What NOT To Do

Brad Howard asked:

In the quest of the “six pack”… otherwise known as the “holy grail”, most people commit more than a few errors that completely hinder their progress. Naturally, it seems that everyone wants to know how to get a six pack fast, but most people really go about it completely backwards.

How To Get A Six Pack — What Not To Do

Rule Number One: If you have a huge layer of fat covering your abs, don’t think that crunches and other types of ab work are going to etch the fat away. In fact, you could make your stomach look BIGGER if you don’t watch out.

(Also, remember this… you can’t spot reduce body fat.)

Think about it this way… if you firm up your abs before you begin to burn the fat away, your ab region will push the fat out farther… because the muscle underneath is now becoming more solid.

Make sure to make a effort to control your diet a bit and get plenty of water in the process. I’ve heard it time and time again… your six pack starts in the kitchen. No amount of exercise and ab work is going to make up for a crappy diet.

Rule Number Two: If you aren’t including any other weight training or interval training in your workouts, you are losing out severely on the “afterburn” effect and maximum fat loss. Most people only try to manipulate their fat stores via diet and completely neglect the exercise portion of their routines.

Back move all the way around.

If we begin to talk about “energy flux” (see the category to the right) then we can start to understand why people yo-yo up and down so much when they “diet”.

Use exercise to create your energy deficit and use proper nutrition to fuel your activities. Your abs will begin to show in the process.

Rule Number Three: Make sure to use proper form when doing your ab exercises. I’ve seen more people hurt their necks and spine by doing things wrong. If you’re not sure how to do anything, pick up a program like my Fat Loss Black Book. The ab region is such a sensitive area to hyperextension and other related injuries, you really don’t want to take any chances.

Couple that with the fact that if you are doing the exercises wrong… you aren’t really getting the full benefit, right?

Right…

So there you go, 3 things to look out for when learning how to get a six pack fast. Go forward at your own risk…

How to Get a Six Pack Fast

Tim Hershaw asked:

If you want to get a six pack it is important to understand that there is little point in rushing into buying some of the bogus gadgets, supplements, diets, and pills that you’ve undoubtedly come across.

Even without these products most people will never achieve the six pack they want because they do not know how to properly train and also do not know the nutrition secrets that are key to a flat and ripped stomach.

I myself have spent countless amounts of money on programs and equipment that promised to provide six-pack abs within days with ease. With all of the products I’ve tried, and also my advice to you is “if it seems too good to be true, it probably is”. Knowing how to get a six pack fast is about employing correct exercise routines that aren’t going to develop your six pack overnight (like so many products promise), but will do so more quickly than any other program you’ve tried.

Have you ever thought to yourself that in order to get a six pack all you need to do is X number of sit-ups every night? Me too, until I realized that the results I was experiencing weren’t as spectacular as I thought they would be. I even tried supplements in the hope that they would make the difference between a flabby stomach and flat, ripped six pack. Still, none of the things I tried seemed to work.

The reason I wasn’t getting the six pack I wanted was because I hadn’t been educated on the best exercises to do. Ok, sit-ups are part of the method to getting a six pack, but it is only half the story. Abdominal exercises do NOT burn fat away from your abs, despite what you may have heard. Instead a much more effective full body training routine is needed in order to maximize your hormonal and metabolic response to your workouts.

The fact is that there is a ton of information available recommending the best way to getting a six pack. The thing is that it just the same information being repeated by people that aren’t “in the know” about fitness.

FAST WEIGHT LOSS… the natural way?

Jui T asked:

I’m a female, 18 years old, 5,5 1/2″ and 132 pounds. I want to drop 4-6 pounds by May 23. My plan is to do cardio for an hour 4 days a week, and weight train for 20 min one day a week. Also, I’ll supplement all drinks for green tea (twice daily) and water. And I’ll have 5-6 small meals a day containing 200-300 calories per meal (most meals containing veggies or fruit).

With this regime is it possible for me to lose 4-6 pounds in time for May 23? If not can you recommend some things I can do please? (No diet pills, crazy fad diets/fasts though) kthx!! :)

How To Get Six Pack Abs Fast – 4 Tips You Have To Know About

John Davenport asked:

This is one of the most common questions in the fitness world. Having six pack abs turns a person into much more sexy and desirable, whether that person is a man or a woman. Because of this, many people desperately wish they had flat 6 pack abs. Yet most of them fail. Why? It’s not due to lack of trying. In any gym you can see people who do hours of abs exercises, yet never manage to bring out the six pack that’s hiding beneath that layer of stubborn belly flab. If you want to be one of the few that do succeed, read the rest of this article.

4 Tips To Getting Six Pack Abs

1. Keep track of your results and progress — Getting six pack abs is a course for professionals. If you want to succeed you need to act like one. That means keeping track of your progress and results, the exercises that you perform, the diet you keep, and the development of your abs. Always take a small notebook and pen with you to the gym and write down what you do (type of exercise, number of reps) so you’ll know what works for you and what doesn’t and when to switch exercises routines. You will get faster and better results.

2. Don’t do the same abs exercises all the time — Your abs muscles need variety in order to properly develop. You see, your muscles become accustomed if you do the same exercises over and over again. When that happens, your muscles aren’t developing as they should. Change you abs workout routines every 4 weeks.

3. Maintain a healthy diet — Many people starve themselves in the hopes of losing their stubborn belly fat. This is a mistake. Going on a low calorie diet disrupts muscle development. Your abs need food in order to develop. Make sure to eat a reasonable amount of food each day. Go for lean protein (chicken, turkey, eggs), whole grain bread, healthy carbs like yams and potatoes, fruit and vegetables. A healthy diet will lower your belly fat and help you build those six pack abs at the same time.

4. Do cardio and full body strength exercises — Many people neglect doing cardiovascular activity or concentrate on their abdominal muscles alone. This is a mistake. You need to be fit all over in order to lose all your excess belly fat and bring out those sexy, ripped 6 pack abs. If you want to get six pack abs fast, make sure to do at least 2 cardiovascular workout sessions and 2 full body strength sessions each week.

Many people believe that getting six pack abs takes a long time. And for some it does. I can tell you from personal experience that it doesn’t have to be this way. You can get six pack abs in a matter of weeks. It all depends on how you do things. Follow the 4 tips I laid out in this article, and you will have great results faster than you can believe.
