A few days ago Yahoo news had on it’s front page a story about the new Flat Belly diet. The first thing that came to my mind was how much this needed to be made fun of.

So I did a search on YouTube and I found this video by InShape4U. Now although this was not what I was looking for I found it to be the funniest thing I had seen in weeks.

So this is the comment I left on his video two days ago:
“This is one of the funniest diet parodies out there. Thanks for sharing this.”

InShape4U commented back:
No -seriously try this out and look at my other vids..

You’re working your TVA or transverse abodminus muscles (look it up) to make your stomach flat

Just take 5 minutes or 1 minute and you’ll see a difference”

I then commented back to him:
“You are serious, you actually think this works. Poke your belly button to firm your tummy. Sorry, this is a spoof. Whoever did this video was a true comic genious”

Tylertitancycle then said to me:
“Here’s an idea, dipshit….Try it. If it doesn’t work, you were right. If it does work, you can pretend that your above post has never existed, sinking slowly into the history of the internet as you post more and more idiotic comments.
I’ve done this exercise…Obviously if you eat nothing but **** and don’t do any other form of exercise, you won’t see any benefits.
But this exercise DOES help. Listen to what he says at 5:00. Because it’s true.” (For those who are interested at 5:00 InShape4U says “You will”)

So I told him that I would record myself doing the excercise and then upload the results. So Tylertitancycle this video is dedicated to you.

Three Advanced Abs Exercises

Although there are a number of basic or easy level abs exercises, if you are looking for more advanced abs exercises then look no further. Given below are three advanced abs exercises for those looking for advances abs exercises:

1. ‘Knees tucks’ is a challenging and advanced abs exercise. This will help you will help you achieve target balancing, sore strength and stability. For this exercise you have to position yourself similar to push ups with the only difference that your ankles/shin is placed over a ball. Ensure that your body is straight with back flat and the abs engaged. Now you have to roll the ball by bending your knees towards chest and squeeze the abs at the same time. Do not use your arms and make sure that ball movement is done with the knees. Also, you should not collapse your back when rolling. Return to initial position and perform ten to sixteen repetitions.

2. ‘Ball pikes’ is another challenging abs exercise and is an advanced version of knee tucks. For this exercise you have to get into a position similar to pushups with the only difference that a ball is placed under ankles/shins. To make exercise more challenging place your feet over the ball. Make sure that your body is straight with your back flat and abs engaged. Now roll the ball towards your chest using feet or ankles and squeeze the abs, at the same time lift your hips towards the ceiling. If you want the exercise to be more challenging you should make sure that your legs are straight such that your toes are on the ball. Return to initial position and perform ten to sixteen repetitions.

3. ‘Oblique knee drops’ is a great exercise for targeting the obliques, rectus abdominis and back. Lie on your back such that your knees are bent at a right angle. Place a medicine ball in between your knees and form an airplane using your arms stretched at your side with palms facing towards ceiling. Now, contracting your abs lower your knees down to the right. Try to lower it as much you can without providing strain on your back or lifting your shoulders. After this squeeze your abs and feel the obliques to contract. Then draw up your knees back and do to the same for the left side. Perform one to three sets with a repetition of ten to sixteen for alternative sides.

The best thing to do other than eating correctly is starting a daily workout routine like hip hop abs or rockin body. Now abs are the same as any other muscles in the body, it needs to be worked out, but if you work it out every day, your abs will get fatigued. Fatigued muscles are not the goal, so it would be smart to workout your abs like any other muscles, every other day. Another problem people run into is that if you have not been working out your abs, than they probably have no strength. So if you start by trying some crazy abdominal workout routines you can really injure yourself, and it most likely will be your back. You need to protect your back when doing abdominal workouts; it is actually really smart to workout your lower back while working out your abs. But when you do start trying to get those hot abs, make sure you start off small with normal crunches or if you are at a gym using a machine, than start with a small weight. Another thing to watch for is technique, technique is another area where people injure themselves, they try to strain and press, they start to use their arms more than their stomachs, right technique is better than a hundred wrong abdominal crunches.

So if your starting to get that desire for flat abs, remember it is going to take a lot of time and hard work. You will have to throw away the sugars and the unhealthy food. You will need to be patient as you start off small so you can build your abdominal strength before you go onto the more challenging workouts.

Advertising for 15 Minute Abs Just Feed the Negative Impressions of Ourselves

Most of us will go to any lengths necessary to get our bodies into the perceived form of the perfect human being. Unfortunately this is just not a possibility for all of us, and most of us will readily fall for those claims that tell us that we can achieve perfect abs within a matter of weeks, or that we too can join the revolution and have 15 minute abs.

With all the advertising and in-your-face magazines that abound in the world today, it’s no wonder that most of us today have inferiority complexes when it comes to our bodies. It doesn’t matter whether we are generally fit or not, unless we look like the people who grace our TV screens and the cover of magazines, we will most likely be unhappy with ourselves (hence all the advertising for 15 minute abs – they just feed our negative impressions of ourselves).

What you don’t realise when you buy into these claims however, is that you are also required to have a healthy diet to go along with these exercises which we are supposed to perform, as well as have some sort of full body workout for the results to be readily achievable.

This is the same thing with any of the exercise machines which you see on the market. If only you take the time to do so, you will see that the small print says that that 15 minute workout you need to do on that particular machine will only work miracles for you along with a balanced diet and overall body workout.

Buying into these claims won’t do you an ounce of good, but if you only take the time and the effort to look around, you might be surprised to learn that you can indeed get 15 minute abs, if only you know how.

So for instance, if you do the exercises which those magazines and things claim will give you a six pack, but combine it as well with a steady workout and general overall healthy lifestyle, you might find that 15 minute abs are within your reach after all. By all means do the 15 minute abs workouts and things which you find, but also remember to incorporate them into a healthy lifestyle as well.

And the next time that you reach eagerly for that magazine promising you 15 minute abs, or when you stare eagerly at the TV screen which is even now advertising a state of the art exercise machine that will give you a “15 minute abs workout”, you can think twice about all the hype and the hoopla, and go in for the type of 15 minute abs workout that’s good for you.
