Liver Detoxification: Why it Works to Slim Your Abs

David Grisaffi asked:

sts and gastroenterologists claim that, after looking at many peoples livers, 50% of middle-aged Americans have a condition called “fatty liver”. The most common causes are poor diet, excessive use of alcohol, toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and hepatitis. Liver disease has many symptoms: nausea, vomiting, malaise, fatigue, yellowing of the skin and/or eyes, and a swollen abdomen. The list goes on and on. You can easily determine if your liver function is not right by having a blood test. Luckily, there are many methods of detoxifying your liver.

Before you jump into a liver detoxification process, you should know some of the key nutrients needed to insure its success. An adequate supply of the antioxidants vitamin C, selenium, beta carotene, vitamin E, and N-acetyl-cysteine(NAC) is very much needed. The amino acid SAM-E is an important component in lever health. This article will show the relation of these nutrients and different ways to detoxify your liver, as well as how each of those methods actually works in your body.

Milk thistle is a plant originally from Southern Europe and North Africa. It can also be found in Southern Russia and Asia Minor. Its use, as it pertains to liver detoxification, is derived from a flavonoid, called silymarin, found in the seeds. Herbalists, including a group of scientists known as Commission E, recognize that silymarin protects the liver by altering and strengthening the outer cell membrane of hepatacytes(liver cells). It also stimulates the natural regenerative capabilities of the liver and helps in the formation of new heptacytes through the activation of the enzyme nucleolar polymerase A.

Oral chelation is used to detoxify the liver based on the belief that small amount of heavy metals are ingested by many people. These minute amounts accumulate over the years and begin to effect liver function. To stop there effect you need to eliminate these heavy metals. The best way to do this is through your stool. That is why you should have 2-3 bowel movements per day when detoxifying your liver in this manner. Most of the supplements in this program target the mercury in your body. Mercury, and other heavy metals, lead to the release of “free radicals” that can cause cancer, Some of the supplements pull the mercury from your body tissue, while others bind to the freed metal. All combine to get the metals into your stool so that your body can eliminate them.

The “Liver Flush” theory holds that there are dozens of gallstones that are choking the connection between the liver and the gallbladder( the biliary duct). Because of this the liver does not produce enough bile and what bile is formed is full of the bacteria and toxins the liver filters from your body. The “Liver Flush” reverses this by causing those gallstones to soften or break up so that they can be removed in your bowel. This is a complicated process, but all of the information that you will need is available on the internet for free.

Lastly, there is the coffee *****. The use of coffee is for liver detoxification, not colon cleansing. As funny as it may sound, it has been used in cancer therapy and alternative medicine for years. There is a duct in the sigmoid colon that connects it to the liver. It is referred to as the entero-hepatic circulation system. Toxins are transferred from the stool to the liver to be neutralized. The caffeine causes the bile ducts to empty into the sigmoid colon. This releases the toxins from the liver and allows them to be eliminated in the stool.

All of these methods of liver detoxification are safe to be used by people in good health, who are weak, and those who are ill. The basics ov liver detoxification revolve around eliminating the build up of toxins in the liver. Whether they do it by removing heavy metals or opening obstructions between the liver and the gallbladder, they all acknowledge the great importance of a healthy liver. A healthy is smaller than one filled with toxins, this causes a slimmer abdomen and better looking abs.

Eating At Night: Can You Lose Body Fat

Can you lose body fat even if you eat at night? That is an age old question. To make it more interesting; there are experts who say you can and still others that swear eating at night is the greatest weight loss sin you can commit. The truth lays somewhere in the grey area between. It is not a black and white topic, so why would there be a black and white answer. Here are a few facts, thoughts, and practical suggestions that may help you make up your own mind and guide you through your weight loss attempts.

Eating at night in, and of, itself will not make you fat. There are too many other things involved to make such a huge generalization. One of the biggest factors is caloric intake and the amount of energy used by your body each day. With that in mind, it is possible to eat a meal right before you go to bed and still lose body fat. It is what compromises that meal that matters. First, you have to be in a caloric deficit situation. Second, the meal must have an appropriate carbohydrate content. The common sense of eating the bulk of your calories and carb density while you are the most active is easy to see.

To figure out when your body is in a calorie deficit situation you only need to think about what time of day you work out. Your body will be calorie strapped in the period after you work out. You will want to consume a meal rich in protein and carbs afterwards, no matter what time of day it is. Post workout nutrition is important for recovery and muscle mass growth. Eating after a night time workout is unlikely to create fat because the caloric content is needed to fill you body’s depleted energy stores.

Is it possible to eat at night, be a fairly inactive person, and still lose body fat? There is the fifty dollar question. The magic answer is…drum roll please… watch what you eat! You have a craving about 9 p.m. You are bored. Why not eat something to occupy your hands and distract yourself. What do you grab? Chips, pretzels, candy, a big hunk of leftovers? What you really get are carbs, fats, and sugars that your body will store as a beautiful spare tire or some junk in your trunk. You can eat but you have to think. A little twist on the “exchange diet” will help. Pretzels are exchanged for carrots. Chips equal raw broccoli or cauliflower. These are foods that are filling, both in your hands and stomach, harder to digest, and healthy. Raw vegetables use more calories to digest than other foods while helping to nourish your body. If you are thirsty, drop the soda or fruit juice. No soda for obvious reasons, but avoid the fruit juice because the simple, natural sugars it contains will be turned into fat cells more easily, by your body. Try water with a teaspoon of lemon juice or another flavor of your choice.

All quality weight loss and fat reduction programs stress the importance of a healthy caloric intake. Where they differ is how and when to eat. A good, even, intake is best. Especially one that allows you to eat small, frequent meals. Moderation and nutrition are key elements in any program. It is possible to eat at night and lose body fat if you keep these two things in mind. Watch your calories and time the bulk of protein and carbs so that they are consumed shortly after a food workout. Eat smart. Combine these tips and you will be able to eat late and lose weight. “The Truth About Six-Pack Abs”-does it really work? What equipment do I need for it?

review of truth about abs
Alex asked:

I read a few reviews and it sounds like a good investment. Three months ago I started working my abs 3-4 times a week. During the first month they looked a lot more toned, but nothing special. Then the last 2 months I haven’t seen any noticeable improvement.

So I want to try something new. Is this book worth the money? Do I need any equipment for the ab exercises it does have? If I do need equipment, can I skip thoughs exercises and do the others and still get good results? How fast will I see results?

Thanks.

The Healthy And Natural Way To Get Abs

James Wong asked:

Everybody wants them, lean and **** abs. Most people think it is unattainable but believe me, it is not as difficult as people make it seem. It is almost a no brainer. Work out and maintain healthy eating habits and lifestyle. That is basically the foundation to getting to lean and **** abs. Once you totally understand those two principles, actually getting to those abs will be easy!

So for the first part of that equation, the working out part, you will want to exercise on a whole body sense. Wait, I know what you must be thinking; it does not sound right at all. Why would you work all of your body if you really only want one part to shine?

Well, because here is the truth, your body is very much interconnected and if you work one area of your body, you have to work others and by working one part of your body, you will be able to work certain muscles that you really do not have the ability to focus solely on. So crunches, sit ups, ab machines, none of those truly work. The particular exercises that you do are not as important as how intense your workout is.

The more intense you push it, the more true benefit you will give to your muscles. You need your muscles to burn fat because your abs are muscles and the only way you will see your **** abs is by bringing your body fat down. And to do that, you will have to rely on high intensity workouts for your entire body.

For food, it is very simple too. If you are completely serious about getting those rock hard abs, you have to avoid processed foods. This is basically anything that is found in a box, can, or jar. When you are at the grocery store, go for the produce section and stock up on vegetables and meat.

If you are really craving sweets, go for fresh fruit or something along the lines of a nut butter or even apple butter. If the butters just are not sweet enough, the only thing you should be adding for sweetness is stevia, not splenda.

And when you do add stevia, make sure it is only barely a pinch. That is strong sweet stuff! So make sure to keep your diet full of whole fresh foods with none of that processed junk foods or even processed so-called healthy foods.

That is really all there is to getting **** abs. You just need to focus on healthy and natural, like a motto. Any program that you come across from here on out, just make sure that it has these two principles too if you are serious about following it.

Do not fall for silly sales pitches for things that just simply do not work. It may be hard work but, believe me, it is totally worth it when you slowly see your abs start to become more defined and toned over the weeks. All of that hard work will definitely pay off and your abs just will absolutely look and feel fantastic!

Celebrity Weight Loss – How You Can Use The Diet And Weight Loss Programs Of The Stars

Tracie Johanson asked:

Why is it that celebrities always seem to be thinner, sexier and more beautiful that us? What weight loss secrets do they use to get that way? Is it a diet, a diet pill, Weight Watchers, or what? It seems that if we could only get the inside information on the new celebrity weight loss program or weight loss pill, then we’d be almost guaranteed to experience fast weight loss of our own.

Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Lindsay Lohan, Hilary Duff, Denise Richards, Janet Jackson, Daryl Hannah, Whitney Houston, Kirstie Alley and many other celebrities have all been in the news lately because of their own personal weight issues. This article looks at what weight loss strategies have worked for these and other celebrities, and how we can apply these same tactics to our own situation.

* Most Celebrities Are Thinner Than Us:

Despite the few celebrity weight loss failures, there’s no denying that most celebrities look better than we do. Models, for example, are 23 percent leaner than the average (source: annecollins.com). Perhaps their trim appearance is part of the reason why we, as a nation, have such a fascination with the celebrity lifestyle.

Indeed, we typically reward and idolize the more slender celebrities. Just a quick look at People Magazine’s list of the ‘50 Most Beautiful People 2005′ reveals that only the lean made the list. People’s ‘Most Beautiful Women of 2005′ list reveals the same thing – celebrities (at least the popular ones) are more thin than we are.

Even when we do find a celebrity that doesn’t look like a stick figure, invariably we find that they have recently lost some weight. “No longer a crash dieter, Oprah Winfrey…..who at her heaviest was 237 lbs., has been eating right, sticking to lean protein and hitting the gym as she aims for her “safe zone” in the 150-lb. range. “Maybe for the first time, she’s doing it for all the right reasons,” says trainer Bob Greene of the talk-show queen’s workouts (source: people.aol.com).

* How Do They Do It?

Even though celebrities do make diet and nutrition mistakes, the majority of them are still thinner than us. So how do the stars achieve quick weight loss when we battle and fight just to lose a few pounds? Is there some secret weight loss product or weight loss plan they’re keeping hidden from us?

The secret is that there is no secret. Celebrities try the same diets we have, including the South Beach Diet, the Zone Diet, the Atkins Diet and countless others. There is no mysterious diet plan or diet product that works for every celebrity all the time, just as there is no such plan that will work for every one of us.

Celebrities that are successful in achieving a healthy weight loss generally do so with a nutritious weight loss diet and regular exercise. Take a look at these examples:

“I think Oprah Winfrey wins the weight battle of 2004 — she looks fabulous…..Look at her, she’s never looked better. She’s been skinnier — that’s true — but she’s never looked better.” “Oprah should set the standard for Hollywood weight loss,” Paula says. “She’s been very open about it. She’s been up, she’s been down, she’s been wide, she’s been skinny.” She continues: “She didn’t do the surgery and she doesn’t really do the fad diets. She eats healthy, she has a personal trainer and she works really hard at it” (source: et.tv.yahoo.com).

Denise Richards put on 30 lbs. while carrying Lola (born June 1), but Richards had a secret weight-loss weapon: “It’s called the Stress Diet,” she says, half-joking, – and alluding to having filed for divorce (from Charlie Sheen) in her sixth month of pregnancy. But mostly she can thank her work with trainer Garrett Warren: She’s been kickboxing and doing abdominal exercises four to six times weekly – and adhering to a portion-controlled diet (source: celebrity.aol.com).

“All eyes were on the miraculous weight loss of Hollywood in 2004,” Paula says. “But there’s no real miracle about it, it’s exercise, it’s eating right and sometimes — it’s surgery!” (Source: et.tv.yahoo.com).

* Why Does It Work For Them And Not For Us?

It’s no surprise that eating the right foods and exercising regularly will help us achieve our ideal weight. So why is it that celebrities seem to have so much more success than we do? There are three reasons why the stars lose weight faster than the average American: 1) Celebrities have more time than we do. 2) Celebrities have more money than we do. 3) Celebrities have a bigger incentive to stay fit and trim.

Although they do work long hours while touring or filming, there’s no denying that the stars have more disposable time than we do. When you’re rich enough to hire a nanny, a driver, a personal chef and many other assistants to take over the time-consuming tasks of life for you, it’s easy to find more time to exercise.

“Singer Jessica Simpson started a new exercise routine to get in shape for her role as Daisy Duke in the upcoming Dukes of Hazard movie. Her workout includes two HOURS a day of squats and lunges and has motivated her to create a new workout video. “I have a white-girl bootie, so I’m doing all my squats to lift it a little bit and get some junk in my trunk,” says Jessica (source: kidzworld.com).

“Usher’s been workin’ on his abs since he was 16, but claims that it’s all because of good genes…..hard work and being disciplined – oh yeah, and 1,000 CRUNCHES a day. Usher also has a daily routine he calls “forty minutes of funk” which includes stretchin’, skippin’ and jumping jacks. Then he moves onto push-ups, leg raises and tricep dips…..can you say fitness freak!” (source: kidzworld.com).

Not only do celebrities have the time to exercise for hours on end, but they typically have the money to hire the absolute best weight loss support team. Julia Roberts, for example, earns an estimated $25,000,000 each year. Cameron Diaz earns $20,000,000 annually. Angelina Jolie pulls down about $12,000,000 each year and Reese Witherspoon gets a $15,000,000 yearly paycheck (source: bankrate.com). With that much cash on hand, the stars can easily afford to hire the best personal trainers, the best nutritionists, the best dietitians and the best personal chefs.

“Celebrities also have the luxury of personal trainers and nutritionists to help them with rigorous diet regimes” (source: abcnews.go.com).

With a personal chef to prepare every meal, celebrities find it easier to follow a low fat diet. A registered dietitian in the house makes it easy for stars to get a unique diet recipe or any other weight loss information they want. Simply put, having the salary of a celebrity makes it easier to lose weight.

Indeed, it’s that same high salary that gives celebrities their incredible incentive to stay slender. The blunt truth of the matter is that Hollywood and the entertainment industry is not kind to overweight stars, often shunning them in favor of ‘thin beauty’. Celebrities see a very real connection between their weight and their earnings power, which gives them the motivation they need to keep trying when many others would give up.

Statistics show that approximately two-thirds of Americans are overweight. Research by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicates that 80 percent of overweight individuals and almost 87 percent of obese individuals are trying to lose or maintain their weight. As a nation, we’re trying to win the battle of the bulge, but we often lack the motivation to consistently exercise and eat right. How much easier would that struggle be if there were a $25,000,000 prize waiting for us when we reached our goal weight?

* How We Can Use The Diet And Weight Loss Programs Of The Stars:

Although most Americans can’t afford the same support staff hired by the celebrities, we can learn from their success and use that information to achieve our own health and fitness goals. Here’s what we can do to copy the weight control tactics of celebrities:

1) Find an exercise program that takes less time. 2) Search for free diet information and free weight loss information. 3) Earn and keep more money by losing weight.

First of all, it’s time to face reality that most of us will never have hours each day to dedicate to exercise like the celebrities do. That’s not an excuse to quit! Instead, find an exercise routine that will get results in a shorter period of time. A great example is circuit training, where you get aerobic and resistance exercise at the same time. By combining these two types of workout into one, it’s entirely possible to get real fat loss results in only thirty minutes each day.

Some time-strapped celebrities use circuit training to achieve their fitness goals. Matthew McConaughey, for example, “…..was circuit training – combining cardiovascular exercise with muscle-strengthening moves…..” (source: STAR Magazine 11-14-05).

Circuit training works, especially for those of us short on time. As an example, consider Pick Up The Pace 30-Minute Workout For Women. This is a health club that offers hydraulic circuit training and has seen gym members accomplish incredible results. As reported on their website, member Minnie lost 10.5 inches during the month of February 2005. Vymell C. lost 9.5 inches the same month. The site also reports that Betty K. joined Pick Up The Pace in January, 2003. By September, 2004 she had lost 50 inches, and dropped from a size 18 to an 8. Stacie Y. lost 68 pounds, 54 1/4 inches, and dropped 6 sizes.

The next thing we can do to mimic celebrity weight loss success is find free diet information and free weight loss information. The truth about health and fitness is out there, and much of it is free.

Finally, we can copy celebrity weight loss by giving ourselves a real cash incentive to lose weight. While we probably won’t ever hit that $25,000,000 payday, we can earn and keep more money by losing weight. It’s true! Losing weight will help us earn and save more money. “Studies have consistently shown that obese employees are paid less than normal-weight employees doing similar jobs” (source: HealthNewsDigest.com).

A comprehensive study of wages in 1998 found that obese workers earn significantly less than than non-obese employees. How much less? About $3.41 per hour! This discrepancy was found only in those workers who had employer-sponsored health insurance, perhaps suggesting that the higher costs of insuring obese individuals was being passed on to the employees themselves. (Source: Bundorf and co-author Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD, assistant professor of medicine at the Center for Health Policy/Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research).

So it’s possible that losing weight could eventually add substantially to our paycheck! But did you know that losing weight may also lower the amount of money we personally pay out in medical costs? According to a study published in Health Affairs recently, obese Americans pay $732 more for health care each year than do normal-weight adults. Is that as much as a celebrity earns each year? Of course not – but it is a cash incentive for us to lose weight!

Celebrities will always have the advantage when it comes to weight loss. But with some extra effort we can achieve the same results!

The Ultimate Secrets to a Flat Stomach and Six Pack Abs

Mike Geary asked:

With this article, I want to show you why you might be struggling to lose that stubborn stomach fat that is covering up your abs. These are the main reasons most people just can not seem to get those six pack abs that everyone desires. If you haven’t already seen me around online somewhere, I’m the creator of one of the most popular abdominals and fat loss programs on the internet.

So in this article I want to highlight for you the main points and strategies that I use to make this program one of the most effective programs in existance for fully developing your abdominals as well as getting rid of that stubborn stomach fat that is covering them up.

Pay attention, because once you get this stuff right and start using these techniques regularly, you’ll be showing off your ripped abs in no time flat, whether it’s at the beach, at the pool, in the bedroom, wherever… Just think how great it’s going to feel when people are complimenting you on your washboard stomach!

Alright, here’s what make’s The Truth about Six Pack Abs different:

The main focus of this program is NOT abs exercises… And, better yet, this program consistently get’s BETTER results by NOT focusing on abs exercises!

I know that sounds counterintuitive, but the fact of the matter is that abs exercises are ok, and you do need to do a certain amount of them to develop the abdominals as best as possible. But to be honest, most people that are trying to get better looking abdominals waste WAY too much time training the abs directly. What you really need to focus on is burning off the extra fat that is covering them up.

Let’s get this straight right now… Abs exercises do NOT burn fat away from your abs! This can only be accomplished through a much more effective full body training routine that maximizes both your metabolic response and your hormonal response to your workouts. This is the main focus of my Truth about Six Pack Abs Program.

Now don’t get me wrong. It wouldn’t be an abs program if I didn’t show you the most effective exercises for developing your abdominals. I also give you detailed instructions and photos on how to do them right. But like I said, the main focus of this program is the secret method that I use to compile the full body training routines and maximize your fat burning effect.

This is the main reason that this program will be MUCH more effective for you than any other abs programs you’ve ever tried before. You’ve got my word on that.

This program uses none of your typical boring monotonous cardio routines.

In fact, you don’t have to do any typical cardio if you don’t want to! I actually recommend against it.

Seriously, almost every program out there tells you that you MUST do endless cardio exercise regularly to lose the body fat that is covering your abs. Most of them tell you to do 30-60 minutes of cardio exercise 3-4 days/week in addition to your strength training routines.

The truth is that this is not only unnecessary, but it can actually be counterproductive if you’re really trying to get as lean as possible, as quick as possible. I go into this in much more detail in the book, but basically this all comes back to the aspects of your metabolic rate, how much lean muscle you have, the hormonal response in your body from the exercise, and the residual calorie burn in the hours and days following your workouts. And normal boring cardio routines are ALL WRONG when it comes to maximizing these effects!

Now you’re probably thinking that since I’m against typical boring cardio routines, then that must simply mean I’m a proponent of interval training. Yes, as a matter of fact, I believe interval training is MUCH better than typical cardio.

However, I also use a special exercise combination and sequencing in my Truth about Six Pack Abs Program that gets even more powerful fat loss and muscle defining results than interval training. And that’s saying something, because interval training kicks ****! You’ll find out how this system works inside the program.

Want proof that you don’t need typical long-duration steady-pace cardio?

Well, first of all, I actually took a course recently that was devoted to scientific research into why steady-pace cardio exercise is actually not that effective at strengthening the heart. The focus of the research basically boiled down to the fact that the heart needs to be trained in a wide variety of ranges to actually be truly strengthened and ready for all the various stresses that life throws at it. Not only that, but steady-pace cardio was also proven in the research studies to be far less effective in the long term at reducing body fat stores.

To give you a real life example… Personally, I haven’t done what most people would label “cardio” in probably well over 5 years, and I’m actually leaner now and have a lower bodyfat % now than years ago when I did cardio regularly. Not only that, but my heart is in the best condition ever, as I now consistently have the resting heart rate of an elite athlete at about 50 bpm (remember that lower is better). My resting heart rate used to be in the mid to upper 60′s years ago when I used to do typical cardio and strength training routines like most people do.

This improvement in both body fat % and reduced resting heart rate is the direct result of the unique training methods I used in developing the programs in The Truth about Six Pack Abs.

This program does NOT revolve around having to use supplements or “fat-loss” pills.

Trust me when I say that for the most part, about 95% of supplements are a complete waste of your hard earned money. I’ve been approached by supplement companies in the past looking for me to promote their products for them, and offering me a lot of money to do so. Well, you know what I do? I tell them to shove it! Seriously, I won’t promote something to my readers that I don’t honestly believe in.

The fact is, I’ve learned over the years through my own experience, as well as hundreds of my clients and friends experiences with supplements, that they are really just selling you the dream that their pill or powder will be some “magical” solution to your struggle with getting that lean ripped body that you’ve been wanting for years. In reality, most supplements do nothing at all to help you improve your body.

Don’t get me wrong… I’m not totally bashing supplement companies, but like I said, about 95% of the products they promote are worthless, and won’t create any noticeable changes in your body. I will admit that there can be a place for meal replacements for people that can’t find the time to prepare or pack all of their real food meals. I also admit that I do think a high quality, fast digesting protein like whey protein can be useful to mix into your post-workout smoothies.

But the fact is that real food is always better for you than processed supplements (as long as you pick the right “real foods”). Anybody that tells you otherwise has either been brainwashed by all of the propaganda and super-hyped up ads that the supplement companies have spread throughout every magazine on the planet, or they have financial ties to selling supplements in some way themselves.

I have dedicated myself to not being lured into the lucrative world of selling supplements. Even though I could make a lot more money selling supplements than by selling my abs program, it’s just plain against my morals to rip people off like that.

Frankly, it amazes me that most people are more willing to spend $30, $40, even $50 or more on a bottle of pills or powder than to spend $30 on a comprehensive training and nutrition guide like this Truth about Six Pack Abs program, which will set them up for life on training programs and dietary secrets that will keep them lean and ripped for life. The only thing that bottle of pills or powder is going to do is give you expensive urine! You make the choice.

This program does not revolve around using any fancy “ab machines” or “ab gadgets”.

In case you were suckered into buying any of these worthless ab belts, loungers, rockers, or any other worthless ab gadget or machine, I have bad news… You were ripped off!

The truth is that most of these machines and gadgets are not the best way to develop the abdominal muscles. Sure, some of them may help a tiny bit with strengthening the abdominals, but they are far less effective than some of the best floor, hanging, and standing abs exercises.

Also, more importantly, virtually all of these abs machines, belts, and gadgets do absolutely NOTHING to burn fat off of the abdominal area!

Again, losing the fat that’s covering up your abs can only be accomplished with a smart nutritional program, and a well designed progressional training program that increases your metabolism and stimulates your fat-burning hormones in your body. Achieving this is simple once you understand the secrets I reveal in the Truth about Six Pack Abs program.

This program does not include some sort of fad diet or gimmicky diet trend.

None of that here. I promise you won’t be given any more crap about needing to eat “low-carb” or “low-fat”, or low or high anything, for that matter. The nutritional secrets I reveal in this program go against all of the authors and companies out there that are trying to lure you in with another one of their gimmicks.

The fact is that they need to come up with some sort of different “angle”, so that their diet program appears unique and gives the media something to talk about. That’s why there’s always some gimmick, like low-fat, or low-carb, or high protein, or the “colors diet”, the “low glycemic index diet”, the fasting diet, the cabbage diet, and so on.

Instead, I wanted to give you the TRUTH about what it really takes to eat a nutritious diet that not only will have you burning off that stubborn belly fat, but will also have you feeling full of energy every single day. If you don’t already feel energetic and alive every single day, then you are missing out, because it is an awesome feeling!

The great thing is that once you start eating balanced and healthy all the time, you virtually eliminate cravings altogether. Personally, I used to crave sweets constantly before I adopted the nutritious diet that I currently eat. Now, I can honestly say I can’t remember the last craving I had. It had to be more than 5 years ago… no joke!

Not only that, but I actually enjoy everything I eat way more than I used to years ago when I ate a lot of junk. Does that mean that I never eat burgers, or pizza, or beer? Of course not… We all have a social life. In fact, there are actually very healthy ways and variations to preparing healthier burgers and healthier pizza that I occasionally use.

I hope this article has given you some insight as to where you may be going wrong with your exercise and nutrition plans in striving for those elusive abs. See below for more info on losing stubborn stomach fat and developing ripped six pack abs.

Six Pack Abs – What Does It Mean?

Jason Hobbs asked:

You have probably heard the expression “six pack abs” on many occasions. It may have been shortened to simply “six pack.” However, the meaning is still the same. This expression refers to having a lean, flat, muscular stomach, and both men and women seem to want it. The real question to answer is whether this is even possible for everyone.

Some books and DVDs with exercise regimens that will promise you anything will say that there is no reason that anyone who is willing to work can’t have this muscular midsection. This is not necessarily true. The truth is that six pack abs are a bit harder to attain than these money makers would have you believe. These are really a pre-cellulite phenomenon. People in their teens and 20′s can achieve this, but it gets harder as you get older, as there is more subcutaneous body. However, if you have the right genetics and follow a strict program, you may have a shot at it, even if you are in your 30′s or 40′s.

It is a bit more difficult for women to be able to sport six pack abs. A female’s body stores more fat than men because they are made for bearing and nourishing babies. It is also true that men usually lose weight faster when they are exercising regularly. Experts have found that it can even be a bit unhealthy for women to lower their body fat enough to have abs this lean, as it can even stop their menstrual cycles.

It may be better to not aim for such extreme results, but there are some very important reasons to work on your midsection. The abdominal core muscles make the torso stronger, create better posture, help reduce lower back pain, and lessen the risk of injury. Abdominal workouts can also make other areas of the body more fit, and help you if you play different sports, or engage in running exercise.

So, even though you may not be meant to have six pack abs, there is no reason that you cannot indulge in a bit of abdominal training. You can still make your stomach flatter and tighter with proper nutrition and a good exercise program. It is a wise idea to look into several of these programs before choosing one to try. If you are able, speak to a professional trainer who should be able to help you choose and implement just the right abdominal work out for you.
